Susan & Paul’s Pre-Wedding Shoot

Last Saturday I shot Susan & Paul’s wedding at the beautiful Lissanoure Castle.  The weather was pretty perfect for photographs, reasonably cloudy with the odd burst of sunshine.  A few weeks ago we headed to Portglenone Forest to shoot their pre-wedding photographs.  The pre-wedding shoot which is included in all my wedding packages is a great way to let you see how I work and it helps give you a taster of what things will be like on your wedding day.  Here are a few of my favourite images from this shoot.  Images from the wedding itself will be blogged shortly once Susan & Paul have had a chance to see them.

Louise & Richard’s Wedding

Back on the 16th April, I had the pleasure of shooting Louise & Richard’s spring wedding at Lissanoure Castle.  Lissanoure Castle is a stunning wedding venue with a beautiful courtyard and stunning grounds.  We spent most of the day outside taking photographs before heading on to The Wild Duck in Portglenone for the reception.  Here are a few of my personal favourites from the day…

Cara & David’s Wedding

On the 10th April, I had the pleasure of shooting Cara & David’s gorgeous wedding in Ballywillan Presbyterian Church, Portrush with their reception being held in the Magherabuoy House Hotel.  Between the service & reception, we headed to the Whiterocks beach for some bridal & family photos.  The day was beautiful and half of County Antrim seemed to have headed to the beach to make the most of the good weather.

Below is a sneak peak of a few of my favourite images from the day…

Victoria & Stuart

A few weeks back, I headed up to Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge on the north coast to shoot Victoria & Stuart’s pre-wedding shoot.  Thankfully the weather was beautiful and we got some lovely late evening sun.  Victoria & Stuart’s wedding isn’t till the summer but already I’m looking forward to it as they are a really nice relaxed easygoing couple.  Their reception is at the Dunadry Hotel which is one of my favourite reception locations.  So roll on the summer!

Here are a few of my favourites from the shoot…

Tianna

The 2010 wedding season kicked off for me on Saturday past with the wedding of Cara & David in Ballywillan Presb Church in Portrush followed by a reception in the Magherabuoy House Hotel.  The weather was superb and we headed to the Whiterocks Beach for the photographs.  I’ll post some images up on the Blog over the next few days.

A few weeks ago I photographed little Tianna for the second time in the studio.  Here are a few of my favourite images from the shoot.

Jenny & David

You may remember I ran a Valentine’s Competition back in February where the lucky winner would receive a FREE Lifestyle Location Shoot at a location of their choice.  A couple of weeks ago, I headed over to Houstin’s Mill in Broughshane to photograph this year’s winner Jenny and her fiance David.  Here are a few of my favourite images from the shoot.

If any other couples are interested in the idea behind a Lifestyle Location Shoot, why not get in touch.  The shoot only needs to last around 20-30 mins, and can be done at a location of your choice.  Popular locations are local forest parks, beaches etc.  Or maybe even the venue of your wedding reception should you already be engaged.  The shoot involves some nice natural, fun and relaxed portraits.  For more info, just drop me an e-mail to info@stevenhanna.co.uk or give me a call on 07971752659.

Easter & More Puppy Pics

Well Easter is pretty much upon us yet again, and unfortunately just like Christmas, many people miss the real reason behind it.  It’s always good to stop and take stock of things.  Being out early with the pup this morning gave me plenty of time to think and be thankful for what Easter means to me.  Yes, time off and plenty of Easter eggs are great, but I’m glad I can celebrate Jesus’ death and resurrection.  What will you celebrate this Easter?

For all you dog lovers out there, here are 2 more photos of the Boxer pups.  Dolly came over earlier in the week to play – this normally means 2 hyper boxer pups running all over the place.  But once all their energy has been burned off, they normally crash beside the radiator like 2 little angels…

Happy Easter everyone.

A lovely e-mail

It’s always nice to receive feedback on your work and I was extremely pleased when I received an e-mail this morning from Randal McDowell, with some thoughts on my 1st book ‘County Antrim – Chasing the Light’.

“I’ve received a copy of Chasing the Light from a friend in N.Ireland.  I’d just like to say thanks for all the lovely photographs.  I was born & reared in Glenarm so the Glens of Antrim are pretty close to my heart even though I’ve been living over here in Norway for these last forty years.  Much appreciated, Randal McDowell.”

Poppy

Here are a few new images I shot of Poppy this morning…

Jack

Here are a few of my favourite images from a recent shoot I did of little Jack.  The perfect wee chap, he sat very happily while I snapped away.
