Details…

I often get asked by brides about the length of time they should leave for their photographs.  While there is no ‘set’ formula for this as every wedding is different, I normally like to have at least 15 – 20 minutes alone with the bride & groom, and then the same with the whole bridal party.  This can vary due to the time of year, where the photos are being taken and ofcourse the weather.  Regarding family group shots, again I aim to take no more than 10 or 15 minutes to shoot these.  I’m always very conscious of not keeping the bride & groom away from their guests for too long, so I try and be as efficient as I can on the day.

A lot of people have the misconception that once I have finished with the ‘main’ photos, that’s my job done.  Far from it.  Most of the time, I aim to blend into the background and keep shooting as the bride & groom mingle with their guests.  This helps to provide a complete coverage of the wedding day.  As well as this, I spend a lot of time shooting all the special details of the wedding day.  Things like shoes, flowers, button holes, table decorations etc.  The little things that make each wedding unique.  Here are just a few of my favourite details from the last year…
